O avião que desapareceu dos radares, depois de descolar de Jacarta, caiu ao mar ao largo da costa de Jacarta, anunciaram as autoridades indonésias.

Um porta-voz do organismo indonésio de busca e resgate, informou, em conferência de imprensa, que o Boeing, da companhia aérea Sriwijawa Air, se despenhou no Mar de Java, poucos minutos depois de descolar do Aeroporto Internacional Sukarno-Hatta, na capital indonésia, com destino a Pontianak, capital da província de West Kalimantan, na ilha Indonésia

Narrative: Sriwijaya Air flight 182 is reported missing after departure from Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Indonesia. Local media report that the flight manifest listed 46 passengers, 7 children, 3 babies and 6 flight crew.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737-500 registered PK-CLC, arrived at Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 12:11 hours local time after a flight from Pangkal Pinang. The subsequent flight for the aircraft, SJ182, was due to depart at 13:40.
Weather at the airport was poor with heavy rainfall and low clouds due to a thunderstorm in de vicinity. This caused a delay in departure. At 14:18 the aircraft was cleared to taxi to runway 35R.
Take-off from runway 35R was commenced at 14:35 (07:35 UTC). After becoming airborne, the aircraft made a climbing right hand turn. At 14:37 the flight was cleared to climb to FL290.
It reached an altitude of about FL110 before entering a rapid descent, according to ADS-B tracking data from Flightradar24. The last position was recorded at 14:40 UTC over the water of the Java Sea, some 19 km from the airport and 7 km north of the shore. ATC noticed the aircraft had been turning to the northwest instead of following the planning heading of 075°.
SAR teams searched the area, and located debris (metal, cables, escape slide) that was suspected to have been from the aircraft.
